Hello.
I am trying to put together a slide or two for some of my interested colleagues in the powers of an HSA. I want to give an example of $x invested 5-, 10-, 15-years ago and what it would be worth now left untouched. I used ticker FXAIX (S&P 500) for my input, $3,500 for initial starting amount and $3,500 yearly contributions (I know limits change, just for simplicity). The example below was done for 10 years, Jan 2015 - Dec 2023.
Here is the output https://www.portfoliovisualizer.com/bac ... sisResults
Why does it show an "annualized portfolio return" of 39.2%? It says the cumulative return is 173.79%.
I don't think I understand how to read this information. 39% is the yearly return?
