Dear Bogleheads:
I am not good at investment and since I got relative big percentage loss in stocks 1-2 year ago, I have been purchasing T-bills (3 months to 1 year short terms) again and again at 4-5% return (and also US Treasure series I). Sometimes part of the money just sat at Vanguard settlement fund (Vanguard Federal Money Market Fund) for few months (assume also earned interest there).
Recently I made additional contribution to my son's 529 plan with suggestion from Bogleheads.
I currently still have over 100k at Vanguard (some are still in T-bills) that I do not have the need to use (and I have emergency fund at a checking account). I am thinking that instead of buying T-bills, maybe I can just invest into funds at Vanguard that are similar to S&P 500. Since I can invest for long term, assume the gain is expected to win over the T-bills?
Any suggestion or suggestion of funds (at Vanguard) to invest?
Thanks so much !
