Long story short, I'm a systems analyst (I lean more technical than functional, but comfortable on both sides) that managed to pigeonhole myself into a position that's too specialized, too limited in terms of career growth, and has high potential for being eliminated in the coming years.
As someone who always has a contingency plan, I've been thinking about what my next career step might be and it's clear that I need to expand and modernize my skillset. With about 15 working years left (maybe even 10 if things go well), I don't want to dump a ton of money or time into something. I want to lean something interesting, useful (in terms of securing stable employment), quickly, and cheaply.
That said, I'm really liking the looks of the Data Analytics career certificate by Google. Seems to fit the bill at first glance, but before taking the plunge, I'm curious if any Bogleheads have taken one of these certificate programs and if so, what the outcome was and whether or not it's something they'd recommend.
I appreciate any and all advice!
