Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Question for those who have sinking funds

Hi

I have had sinking funds since I was a teenager (used the envelope system). Now I have them in my HYSA. For some of them I have accumulated a lot, I am wondering if you have a cap for them and then stop contributing when you get to a certain sum? How do you come up with that # that you stop contributing?
