Hello, my daughter just turned 18 and it seems like a good idea for her to freeze her credit with the three credit bureaus. Has anyone attempted to help one of their (age 18+) children do this? The process requires first creating an account at each bureau, and then freezing it. She tried to create an account at each of the three bureaus on their websites, but after entering all her information correctly and completing 2FA, all three said they could not verify her identity. Is this because she likely has no credit history? She is an authorized user on one of my credit cards so I thought she might have some history. The only option given after the "cannot verify identity" message is to call each bureau, which she of course can do, but was hoping for something less arduous. If you've been though this process I'd appreciate any insight. Thank you!
