My nephew is looking for cities that have extensive bike lanes and/or public transportation so he can do either to go to work. He's currently a 11th grader and aims to be a mechanical engineer or chemical engineer. This may direct which college to aim for.
I recall many bogleheads bike to work. Can you suggest some cities? Bonus if it has extensive public transportation as well. The ones we know are Boston, San Francisco, and New York, but not sure on employment opportunities. He's open to both subway and busses (is there any other?).
