I'm in the process of returning to working out again after sustaining an elbow injury from a martial arts class earlier in the year. After sustaining the injury I think going to a dedicated martial arts studio is not a good idea for my body as I age so I am debating whether to sign up for a gym membership so I can get a mix of lifting, stretching, and hopefully some HIIT class or Classpass where I can do a variety of workouts such as heavy bag, yoga, HIIT etc. I like the idea of Classpass because of the variety of studios I can go to, but then I feel like I should incorporate some weight lifting back into my routine as I stopped doing this when I started doing martial arts a couple years ago. Interested to get some feedback from people's fitness routine.
Also would it be better to wait till next year to sign up as I believe the best deals are usually in the beginning of the new year.
