I have a Roth IRA with schwab, SWPPX, SCHM, SCHA, and SCHF. but I I have been looking at the performance compared to other mid and small cap indexes , like IJR VB IWM, VO IJH IWR. and the schwab funds really underperform , where as all of the other funds mostly stay in lime with rate of return with one another.
for example , 10 yr return IJR 8.96%, VB 9.08%, SCHA 8.07%...
And it appears to underperform with even longer records

do you think these differences will smooth out over the long haul or is the dow index itself inferior ?
