Personal Consumer Issues • Experience with safety features on Cars

I am wondering about experience with the following safety features on cars

• Automatic Braking - I am guessing that this is a feature where if the car notice someone in front of the car, the car will automatically brake. Is this typically in front and back. How small does the object need to be to trigger it (pet vs child vs adult) and are there false positives?
• Lane departure working - I believe you are driving on the road and you drift to a different lane. I imagine it triggers if you change lane without using the turn signal?
• Rear Cross Traffic Alert - I think I might have this on my car. When I shift to the rear, an alert is sound if a car is moving near my car?
• Blind spot monitoring - an alert occur if you attempt to turn and there is a car in your blind spot. Usually a lot is display on the side mirror.

Do these feature work for you? What does it not prevent against?
