Personal Investments • short-term savings for home reno in high-tax bracket CA

New to Bogleheads and trying to educate myself on investing; I'm a female physician in the highest tax bracket in CA and am embarking on a home remodel in appx 12-18 months; I plan to fund the remodel in part with the sale of an investment property and in part with the sale of some of my stock portfolio. I am curious how you would approach short term savings over the next year in my tax bracket knowing that I will need to access the cash in 15-18 months for the remodel: put it in a short term Vanguard CA muni bond fund? (even though I will have to pay LTCG when I sell it?) and which one? I have appx $100K in cash that I want to set aside for the remodel while limiting tax burden and investment risk, knowing I will 100% need the cash in a little over a year. Thanks in advance
