Hello,
I always have decision paralysis choosing health care plans. I was on the PPO 80 the past few years and it was fine, except I broke my ankle this year and would have saved more on the PPO 90. I am still thinking of keeping the PPO 80 this year but contributing the difference in premium to an FSA.
The plan is for me and my spouse. We normally don't go to the doctor much, and don't have prescriptions except some medical device supplies.
Any suggestions? I know most people say HDHPs are better for the tax savings. We might move to an HDHP next year after we better track costs.
HDHP PPO 90 PPO 80
Annual Premium $2,436.00 $2,892.00 $1,212.00
Deductible $ 6600 $ 1000 $3000
Out of pocket limit $ 8000 $4000 $10000
Employer Hsa contribution $3000
Thanks!
