Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Should spouse stop Medicare B & D and join my employer plan

Considering taking a seasonal full-time job with surprisingly excellent health benefits. Spouse is 70+ and has a Medigap Extended Basic plan in Minnesota. I purchase insurance on the private market.
Looks like if he were to get a job with benefits, he would be able to stop Medigap (parts B & D) and then qualify for another guaranteed open enrollment / guaranteed issue right when job ended. However I cannot find if this also applies if a spouse gets employment with coverage.
Having us on the employer sponsored family plan would save $2k+. But we cannot risk having to sign up for a Medigap plan in the future that would require a health questionnaire and not guaranteed premium prices. We would NOT choose the high deductible plan so as to avoid all conflicts with Medicare Part A.
1. If I take this job, can he discontinue parts B & D, while covered under my plan?
2. If yes, when he re-enrolls, will it require a health questionnaire OR will he qualify for the guaranteed issue right for Minnesota Extended Basic?
3. Also if yes to #1,when I quit, can I keep him on COBRA and still extend his time off of Medicare B & D and still qualify for the guaranteed issue right when COBRA coverage ends? I doubt COBRA for him would be cheaper than Medicare Extended Basic, but exploring options.
4. Would he even have the option of continuing on COBRA when I quit?

I will try to call our State Senior Linkage Line, but I know this one is complicated. Many thanks in advance!
