I'm an immigrant from the 3rd world working in tech. Been in the US over a decade with no pathway to get a green card & citizenship. I am forever grateful for the life changing opportunity that this country has given me. I consider myself lucky for reaching this point.
But the overhang of getting laid off and having to leave after so long is stressful. Ideally I would like to change that.

Questions:
Any criticisms of my portfolio is appreciated. I am planning to either get a golden visa or 2nd citizenship. I ideally would like to buy a house at some point, but I feel like I can't have both at my current financial position.
The cost of a golden visa or citizenship starts at 200k and goes up to 1M for elite EU citizenship. The options are:
I'll qualify for 40 credits of social security in Jan 2026. I plan to stay in the US till then and then leave and pursue 2nd citizenship in a country that wants my skills like Germany, Japan, Canada or another place if I don't pull the trigger on the golden visa option by then. I'll leave my nest egg untouched here which should be enough for retirement.
Thank you for reviewing. Take care & God bless you.

The cost of a golden visa or citizenship starts at 200k and goes up to 1M for elite EU citizenship. The options are:
- Citizenship in the carribean - 200k
- Spain/Portugal golden visas - 500k
- US also has an investor visa for 900k but that is a significant chunk of my net worth
- Malta citizenship - $1M. Out of reach
