Does anyone know much about these etf's? Such as... SRLN (blackstone sr loan), FLBL (franklin sr loan), TFLR (t rowe floating rate), BRLN (ishares gloating rate.
They pay a high yield. I'm not clear what the difference is with these ETF's vs high yield corporate bond funds? Are they more or less risk? I imagine they will behave much like high yield corp bonds in a downturn...i.e. yields up & price down. Corp bond spreads are also a record lows which makes me cautious on anything in the credit area.
I'm early retiree looking for more current income. I know the boglehead idea is take risk with equities & safe part of portfolio in tbills or short/intermediate treasury bonds. But that doesn't provide great current yield today. And credit ETF's are "risk" like equities vs treasuries. Is there any reason one would want to look into these Sr bank loan etf's for current income?
