Personal Consumer Issues • What’s the deal with turntables?

I was in my local Barnes and Noble and they had hundreds of vinyl albums and several types of turntables for sale. I really don’t get it - what’s the allure of listening to all those snap, crackle and pops? Why not just buy rice crispies? When CDs came out, I stopped buying albums because the audio quality was so much better.

Ok turntablers, what’s your story?
