like most retirees i have stayed away from bitcoin - but wondering if other bogleheads have jumped in using ETFs or similar?
i recall alan roth saying put 5% of your portfolio in bitcoin as a 'fun' play a couple years ago but i never did.
also i don't think vanguard has a bitcoin ETF but i assume there are others around.
I don't really see how a single bitcoin is worth $100k but now they are saying it will run to $200k but who knows.
anyone else have anything to recommend? is it worth purchasing some now or is it a crash waiting to happen?
i have owned bitcoins in the past but they were hacked from an online account long ago around 2008 (bitcoin was $1 at that time) but theft of bitcoins was not uncommon back then.
