Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Backdoor Roth IRA

My son has a Rollver IRA investment and a separate SEP IRA account. Because of his income level he has not been able to contribute to Roth IRA. My understanding is that SEP IRA account is just like a 401K investment and he can rollover his Rollover IRA to SEP. Once the rollover to SEP is done, then he can contribute to a new Traditional IRA account on a yearly basis and after a day or two he can do backdoor Roth conversion. I am hoping that some BHs may have experience in this situation and may provide me some guidance. Since his accounts are with Vanguard it may be possible to contact Vanguard regarding this too. Please help me guide my son. Thanks,
