Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Inherited IRA question

Spouse deceased age 72, had not taken her first RMS. I am 75, opted to inherit spouse's traditional and Roth IRAs (on Vanguard they are listed as inherited IRAs). As I read the rules, I owe no RMD until 12/31/2025. Double checking with Vanguard rep in their RMD department, he said I owed an RMD for the inherited IRA and was subject to the 10 year total distribution limit rule. Who's is right? I originally opted to inherit as it seems advantageous to delay first RMD until next year. Am I missing or confused about something?
