I'm trying to wire money to the UK HMRC (their equivalent of the IRS), using these wire instructions: https://www.gov.uk/pay-self-assessment- ... nk-details
But Vanguard says that they need the account information of a US-based intermediary bank. HMRC doesn't have anything like that. What should I do?
(For arcane tax reasons, the money has to go directly to HMRC from a US-based institution, without going to any other UK institution first. I contacted OFX, a currency broker. But if I use them, the money will go from Vanguard to OFX's US bank to OFX's UK bank to HMRC. So that isn't acceptable in this situation.)
Thanks!
