I just transferred some money in from my bank to contribute to a non-deductible IRA. Vanguard has a giant alert saying funds are subject to a 7-day hold (side note: why can't they say this before you transfer money?), but that one can purchase VG Mutual funds. And the brokerage account lists the money as "available to trade."
However, when I go to contribute to the IRA it says there are no funds available.
Is there a different sequence of clicks on the website I should be doing or is the money just not available at all for several more days? I rarely contribute money to my VG account
Thanks
