If so, was it worth it?
I work remote and spend 8-10 hours a day in front of the computer. Even though I workout most days and walk every day, I have found that it is difficult to drop any weight unless I starve myself. I think a big part of this is the time I spend in front of the computer. Thought about purchasing a desk treadmill (i.e. walking pad) or bike with a platform on it that has enough room for a laptop to burn some more calories.
I do computer programming so I am not sure I would be able to code and walk/bike at the same time. Thought it might be good for things like meetings and planning sessions. Or surfing the web in the evening.
Have any of you purchased one of these items? If so, did it provide much value or did it end up collecting dust? Was it reliable? I have seen some complaints that the walkpads do not last long. I wouldn't want to buy a piece of junk that's going to need to be repaired or replaced in a year or two.
I have limited space and hate to buy anything that will add clutter. I already have a standing desk (in addition to a sit down desk) and a treadmill will put me in a higher position where I would need to purchase a new desk as well since the current standing desk is in a fixed position.
