Investing - Theory, News & General • Confidence U.S. inflation won't be too high long-term

For the purposes of thinking about inflation indexed vs. nominal bonds, how confident are you that inflation won't be too high in the U.S. on a long-term basis? Thinking decades.

Here's the estimates from the Federal Reserve bank of Cleveland, all pretty similar:

• 10-Year Expected Inflation
• 20-Year Expected Inflation
• 30-Year Expected Inflation

I'd be happy if they were right. However, a lot of things influence inflation including factors beyond anyone's control.
