Distant relatives, both elderly, both very sick. Husband, a veteran, takes care of wife who is extremely frail.
Now husband has been hospitalized - prospects not good. But even if he makes it, it's doubtful he'll be able to care for himself let alone anyone else.
I don't have access to all their information (not my direct family) but a case worker from VA is supposed to see one or both of them tomorrow.
Does anyone here know what to expect in this type of situation? Does the VA have special resources for vets who are family caregivers? Anything the family should know or look out for or ask for?
Thanks as always to all the knowledgeable folks in this forum.
