Hey everyone, have a unique question regarding back door Roth.
I have 100k in a rollover traditional IRA at vanguard that my work is letting me roll in the entirety of to my workplace 401k. So there are no contributions to this traditional IRA other than from a previous 401k that I rolled into vanguard years ago and it has just sat there.
My question is this. Once this is emptied out of vanguard, can I then do a backdoor roth for 2024? Or was my deadline to have my traditional ira rolled into my work 401k 12/31/2024 in order to do this?
Thanks everyone for the clarification!
