Has anyone done the unclaimed property search and discovered a dead relatives name w fair amount of money attached.
Found some in an uncles name. My mother was executor of estate and she never claimed the money. She has just died and he died in 2004 and money is just sitting in Massachusetts.
I have gotten the forms from Mass and his death certificate but dont understand the other things they want for proof.
Has anyone done this and can walk me through it?
I am not the executor of her estate if that matters but I would be the next closest relative.
