Personal Finance (Not Investing) • VA HealthCare and ACA overlap Tax Consequence

DW and I were on ACA from January-July 2024
She switched to Medicare on August 1st.
I was finally able to get appoved for VA Healthcare on July 25th.

I canceled ACA for both of us on July 31st.

Our ACA Tax form 1095-A shows coverage from January-July 2024.
My VA Tax form 1095-B shows coverage from July-December 2024.

So the problem is that it looks as if I was double covered for the entire month of July even though it was only a couple of days, meaning I would need to pay back the ACA credit for July?

Is there a way to get credit for the 25 days or so I was not covered by the VA in July?
If I have to pay back the credit would it just be my share(half?) since DW was only covered by ACA for all of July?

thanks,
