I mailed on Tuesday the 21st my state electric car rebate. I had it as a certified letter with tracking. The initial tracking said the USPS has the item in possession with an estimated delivery being today Friday the 24th. Great. The problem is that the tracking never updated and it still has the exact same message. I am worried that the application is lost, misplaced etc, especially with a first come first serve availability of rebate funds. I called the post office 1-800 number and they could not tell me anymore information and I can not investigate the possibility of it being lost until next week the 29th. I have no idea who to call at the Illinois EPA to see if the application came and the operator is not answering.
Should I just reprint and resubmit tomorrow? Would that cause more harm then good as it may create confusion if my initial application delivered and its just a tracking error, such as no one scanned etc. Then there would be 2 applications
