Personal Investments • Best International Fund in Taxable

I feel like this topic has been repeated over and over, but can anyone give me opinions on which international fund is the most tax efficient to hold in a taxable account. I've read numerous discussions on here, but can anyone show me which fund has been the most tax efficient? I can't seem to find where anyone actually compares all the international funds. Is it VXUS, or do people like it just for the simplicity? Does the most tax efficient fund vary from year to year so that it's too difficult to predict? I'm open to opening a taxable account with any company (Vanguard, Fidelity, Schwab, etc.).
