Personal Investments • What should I do with $1.5 million immediately?

I have $1.5 million from a house sell this week. What do I do with the funds immediately?

I want to get them out of the low interest bank account and into something with at least 5%

I am planning to pull everything into my Vanguard brokerage account right away. VMFXX, the settlement fund, is getting 5.3%

I thought I would also start putting funds in brokered CDs.

Again, this is a short term plan to get the funds out of a no-interest account.

Any other suggestions?
