I am trying to calculate some back taxes owed - not including any interest or penalties.

I donated 45,000 but the IRS is only allowing 10,000.

I calculate that 45,000 x fed rate (at the time) of 39.6% = 17,820
I calculate that 10,000 x fed rate (at the time) of 39.6% = 3,960

The difference of 17,820-3960= 13,860
Is this roughly what I would owe?
