I messed up and booked a super tight connection in CDG later this year in November. The flight is on Air France BCN-DXB with the connection in CDG of just 1 hour. The flight is AF1049 departing BCN 20:20, arrives in CDG 22:20 and connecting flight AF658 departs 23:30, it's a redeye that arrives next morning at 9am. The inbound arrives in Terminal 2F and outbound departs from 2E (per the research that I did).
Just trying to get some info on what my rights are in terms of compensation under the following scenarios:
- Inbound flight is delayed and I miss my connection.
- Inbound flight is delayed but I can't make the connection due to passport control and security delays.
I also paid using my Chase Sapphire Reserve that has trip delay if that matters. I am expecting hotel for the night in CDG, transport to said hotel and some food costs at a minimum?
Also, I decided I am not going to book my hotel in DXB since there are hundreds of available hotels there and i'll just book it when I arrive that morning just in case. Less stressful that way.
