I have a small Roth 457B account (~$10K) at an ex-employer. I would like to roll it over into my Roth IRA. Is it possible to get a check from the Roth 457B and put it into my Roth IRA?
I am over 59-1/2 and my Roth IRA has been open for over 5yr. My Roth 457B account was also created over 5yr ago.
The reason I want to do an indirect rollover is that my 457B is titled Fiirst_name Last_Name while my Roth IRA is titled First_name Middle_initial Last_name, Jr. and it seems as though my brokerage is very picky about such things (even though the SS# is the same, of course.). Plus, it just seems simpler.
