I hope I can get some advice on my portfolio. I have two TIAA accounts: one from a job I had 20 years ago and one from my current job. I am 48 years old and would like to tighten up my investments as I get older, especially since my wife only has $5k in retirement savings. Over time, some options have been added and others removed from my TIAA accounts, and I feel my portfolio has become a bit disorganized. I tend to prefer a more aggressive investment strategy, but I realize this might not be the best approach as I age ... I would also like your thoughts on that.
For context:
I have 13 years left on my mortgage ($950 per month).
I have no car payments (I drive a 15-year-old car and a 22-year-old car).
I have no credit card debt.
I have $150K in savings and short-term investments.
I would appreciate any advice on how to clean up and optimize my portfolio.
