Personal Finance (Not Investing) • RPM - Roth conversion maximize roth conversion room

Hi,

I want to maximize my Roth conversion room. Currently when I do the conversions, in the summary it lists my taxable income, IRA income, roth income.etc and assume it uses this to pay for my expenditures and tax.

I would like to pay my expenditures (and taxes) out of my taxable account only FIRST (and deplete that account first), that way any IRA income (which would be a withdrawal out of the IRA) is not used, so I can maximize my conversion amount into my tax bracket.

Does this make sense -- and how do I set this in RPM?
