I have GEICO insurance, had them for years and have been happy with them. A few weeks ago I requested a quote to have a million in liability. I currently have 500k/750k. They said it would cost $20 every six months but would need underwriter authorization. They got back to me that and said it was denied because we have a new teen driver, until the teen gets three years experience they will not approve the additional increase in liability coverage amount. I asked about umbrella, they said they don't offer that in my state and will have to reach out to a third party. I said no thanks, I'll check with my own homeowners carrier.
I suppose I have no recourse with GEICO in regards to them denying the increase in liability?
