Personal Consumer Issues • Toilet Tank Leak

Hi,

I had a leak coming from the bottom of the toilet tank. Okay, no problem; I'll replace the gasket. My Lowes didn't carry just the gasket, only the whole flush kit like this one. Okay, no problem; the seal goes bad, so a new one won't hurt.

I can't stop the leak for the life of me. I have taken the tank off and on half a dozen times and tightened everything as much as possible, to no avail.

What could I be missing?
