Personal Investments • FDIC coverage within SIPC account

I have a question that I know has a simple answer; however, I can't find it. Are FDIC-insured CDs held within brokerage accounts (Vanguard & Fidelity) insured in addition to the 500K SIPC limit per account? That is, were the unthinkable to happen, is 500K covered per account through SIPC and an ADDITIONAL coverage through FDIC for the insured CDs held within that account? In other words, if we had 750K at Vanguard joint account, with 250K in CDs, would 500K be covered through SIPC and 250K be covered through FDIC? Or is the 500K limit in place per brokerage account regardless of FDIC coverage?

Thanks for help - I'm sorry if my question is worded convolutedly! I know there's a straightforward answer!
