hey guys, new to the forums. I just had a quick question. My in-laws and parents have 529 plans out for my kids already. I need to put money away for them for my own brain as a parent. I have decided to just open the brokerage accounts. my question is this:
my kids are 4.5, 3, and 7 months old. what would you invest in for them. I am investing 30 dollars a week for each kid to equal 120 a month for each. My brain says just buy the s&p knowing they aren't touching this money for easily 20 years ( if I have it my way, they can have it till I'm dead as my last gift to them lol ) , but another part of my is saying add a growth fund like schg, or vug.
what do you guys think?
