Personal Consumer Issues • What type of grass for our backyard?

We live in metro Atlanta area, our backyard is currently Fescue and the unshaded portions are all dead.

Previously we had Bermuda grass in the backyard several years ago, but with the Bermuda the grass in the shaded portions died while the portion in direct full sun was doing ok, the opposite situation of the Fescue we have currently.

We are considering resodding with Zoysia next, we have Zoysia in our front yard and it has been great, no issues.

Wanted to see if anyone had any other types of grasses to suggest for a backyard in our climate with a mix of shaded areas and full sun.

Ideally something that requires the least amount of watering, our Zoysia in the front has been doing fine with just rainfall for 6 years. We have an irrigation system in the back we could use while the new grass is getting established but would prefer to not need to rely on it constantly as water is incredibly expensive here (irrigation system is on our main/only water meter so it's use incurs sewer charges)

Thanks for reading
