Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Comparing Insurance - Dental Plans

I know many have determined that going out of pocket makes the most sense for dental coverage, but I'm wondering if for someone like me, who needs a lot of work in the coming year, whether it might be of benefit to continue paying for a plan.

I currently have GEHA High Coverage as a federal retiree, but wondering how I could compare that to other similar plans. I can wait until open season to compare other plans available to federal employees/retirees, but also wondering how those compare to generally available plans and for budgeting purposes, trying to figure this out as soon as possible.

I've never been a member of AARP and now wondering whether they offer consumer advice in this regard?

Before someone mentions that preventive care makes all the difference, it does not apply in my case. Thank you.
