Non-US Investing • [ITALY] Capital loss compensation on profit tax, possible or not?

Few days ago I stumbled on the topic of @Siaigi (viewtopic.php?p=7985849#p7985849) in which OP states
The next few years I will recover with capital gains more than 50 percent of my losses-thanks to the recovery of capital losses
but I remembered from the Bogleheads wiki for italian investors (https://www.bogleheads.org/wiki/Investi ... s_in_Italy) that
Both profits and losses are calculated by subtracting the purchase price from the sale price, regardless of the ETF NAV value, which was used before. As a consequence tax profit/loss compensation is no longer possible as profits and losses now belong to two different fiscal categories
And now I am confused. Does capital loss ease taxation on profits in Italy?
