Need some work done in a bathroom (water running nonstop from showerhead).
Plumber said it involves breaking wall to replace the faucet. Lever type faucet. Maybe 30 yrs in place.
Did not think much about it but now I'm told this involves breaking the wall to replace the faucet, and tile replacement. This bathroom is used by a family member with lung disease. I don't know how much dust this will produce, or strong smells from any product used in the repairs. I suppose no paint involved but still, any fumes may bring on trouble.
I'm thinking of delaying the repair until I can safely relocate the sick family member for a few days. Contractor might say there's nothing to worry about but does anyone know what would actually be done with this type of repair?
EDIT: changed title to clarify question.
