Investing - Theory, News & General • Is there a case for TIPS in taxable?

Looks like the days of 2%+ TIPS is coming to an end: https://tipswatch.com/2024/08/26/have-w ... al-yields/

I've waited ~15 years for TIPS to exceed 1%+ real return, and I've loaded up as much TIPS as I could in my 401k. Also maxed out i-Bonds too (since this will come up). If I want to grab more TIPS in the upcoming weeks, I only have taxable space left.

Is there a case for TIPS in taxable? Or should I just forget about buying more TIPS because of tax efficiency reasons?
