We live in California and many insurance agencies are pulling out. We were notified awhile ago by our agency and our insurance agent had us set up with another company. They had us take pictures in and around our 1955 home. We paid our premiums and life was good again.
However, we just got a letter that our coverage was ending in October due to an ancient electrical panel. There was no word suggesting we should replace it, just terminating the account. Tomorrow I’ll call up a few companies to get quote: on the net, I read quotes from $200 to $4,000.
My question is how long does it take to replace an eclectric panel. Do the wires in the house have to be replaced? Should I be aware of any surprises? Thank you in advance.
