My wife received a bonus from work which we just invested according to our asset allocation and IPS.
This has resulted in approx. $10k going into VTSAX (Vanguard Total Stock Market Index) at an all-time high price.
Hopefully this is money that will not be needed for 20 + years. Before finding the Bogleheads I never would have had the confidence to make such an investment. I probably would have waited for a “dip” which would have come “who knows when?”
There will be many more market highs after this one and we will enjoy the run up in value of the fund over the long run.
