What is the most secure way to include an account number when mailing a check for deposit?

My question is specifically about Apple savings, which (as far as I know) does not supply deposit slips.

I found the following in the deposit agreement.

Check Deposits
Any accepted check must be made payable to you or to Goldman Sachs Bank USA and must be endorsed on the back with "For Deposit Only at Goldman Sachs Bank USA" and include your Account number.

What's the best practice? Those instructions are not very specific (not to mention being grammatically questionable, as if they didn't put much consideration into it).
