Verizon is discontinuing Message+ which has worked well. They suggest switching to the Google texting app (both are native on the phone). Issue - the Google texting app really s*cks. One example - no way to 'mute' a friend who overtexts so you get constant popup notifications. Customization is awkward and limited. Not a fan.
That said, what Android texting app are you using? Looking for options.
I know encryption is on many folks minds, though that gets messy if the person you are texting has a diff app or phone.
I asked a similar question last year, but now that I'm being forced to switch....maybe something new has developed.
