Personal Finance (Not Investing) • The problem of procastination in investment

Recently, a relative requested help with investing for retirement. A look at the portfolio indicated that the portfolio is invested in a Target fund, but they are not contributing enough. I suggested maxing out their employer retirement, and may be backdoor roth. However, months later, nothing has been done because they are too busy. I did warn them that the time is money. I suppose if they don't do anything, they will just have a livable income so I am not concern that they will be unable to retire, but I am just trying to get them to not to have then lower their standard of living significantly.

This makes me reflect on the sin of procrastination, which have also affected me. What are the things one can do to motivate getting past procrastination.
