Personal Finance (Not Investing) • TT saying mail IRS 1099-B for inherited shares

Two siblings each inherited MF shares 50/50. One is told by TT he must mail the IRS the 1099-B for sale of the shares; the other not. Is there something that may trigger this? Can the data be entered differently into TT to avoid this?

If I look at the Schedule B forms generated by TT, the problematic one shows an Adjustment Amount of 0.00, Adjustment Code M. The other one shows no Adjustment Amount or Code. Not sure where TT gets this information.
