Hi BHs,
Since I've found Bogelheads, I've made some changes and continue to learn sound financial advice and tax advantage.
Situation:
This calendar year, I transferred my Roth IRA, Trad IRA, and Taxable from Morgan Stanley to Vanguard self-direct. I needed to sell funds in each account that were not transferrable to Vanguard. As I am an HCE, I am unable to contribute to Roth IRA and am interested in doing a backdoor Roth, or After Tax 401K contribution. To do this, I would need to transfer and close the Trad IRA to employer 401K at Fidelity (after-tax contributions are allowed, I asked).
Question:
Am I eligible since I moved the Trad IRA once this year? Or do I need to wait until January or 365 days from transfer to Vanguard?
Thanks
